Bed Hopping

Thanks to a good friend who no longer needed her almost new daybed, Madeline has a bed for her mattress now. I had been holding off on buying her one because we have had so much other stuff going on and I wasn't certain what I was looking for. I am glad I waited, the bed is a perfect fit for Madeline's room AND it was free :).

Tonight as I assembled the bed the girls excitedly planned their night together in the new bed. They figured out what they expected to be a good share plan for the twin sized bed. From 7:30 - 9 the share plan worked. From 9 to 9:30 they fought about space and covers. From 9:30 to 10:20 Emma was back in her room and Madeline was alone in her new bed. At 10:50 when I went to check on the girls before doing some editing to my transcripts I found Madeline awake in Emma's bed with Emma who was asleep (thank God!). A new bed was a lot of fun for the waking hours but when it came to sleeping, Emma fell back into the comfort of her old bed and Madeline realized that sleeping alone didn't seem fun, even in her new bed.

Silly sweet girls! I am off to bed.
