A Club Libby Lu Day
Wow! A busy day it was. I would prefer to be asleep right now but there are 4 exhausted girls fighting sleep in a the room next door and I can't go to sleep until I know that they are all asleep. Usually I go into the room when the chat cut off is near, I lay down on the floor or at the end of the bed by their feet and tell them to stop talking and go to sleep. It keeps them under control the next day to not be so sleep deprived. But with four of them...I go crazy in the room and want to start screaming, so it is best for me to be in the living room, on my own, where I can't hear them finding ways to keep themselves awake for longer.
They have been up to potty, for water, and for tissues. It is easy to go hard core with my own, perhaps telling them if they to use their pillowcase for a tissue and that I'll wash it in the morning (Emma wouldn't really accept that option but Madeline might) or that they can pee in the bed if they must. But, I just can't bring myself to traumatize the guests that way. In the night time hours at a house that is not their own they need straight out TLC. Just now the one girl who really is almost asleep has quite a cough. I said, "Emma, is that you?" and Emma said, "no, it is ____". Then I say, "oh, poor ____, she has a serious cough". That conversation inspires one of the other cuties to start hacking...a dry, borderline fake cough, and then whisper, "Christy, that was me". At which point I say, "oh, wow, what a cough". She continues to cough, taking turns with the true cougher until I think I might cry from frustration and hopelessness that anyone was every going to fall asleep...SO THAT I CAN FALL ASLEEP!
So, here I am at 11:30 posting pictures from today's event. The girls had SO much fun. Emma said it was the best day of her life so far. They loved getting their pooches, all four are hard core dog lovers. Libby Lu was crowded and way over stimulating but watching the smiles made my heart feel so good. After getting their wild hair styles we zipped over to the Santa in Bellevue Square and had a group picture taken. I'll post it when it arrives. I got one with just Madeline and Emma too. :)

OK, so I am laughing hysterically at your "going to sleep" dialogue. (and taking SERIOUS notes in the hopes of taking advantage of your shared wisdom)CUTE pics!
Wow what fun. Dressup in a big way. It is an ideal way to have a birthday party.
