I'm unable to think of a title for this blog. I'm having such a hard time posting at all lately because my days are feeling so full. I don't blame the holidays...life can be this way year round if I let it.
Madeline has been cracking me up lately. She told me a couple of days ago that she didn't want to get married because she didn't want to have to kiss anyone. Then she changed her mind and decided that she would get married and that everything would be okay as long as she was the one who did the kissing, her husband couldn't kiss her.
She has also decided that when she grows up she wants to be a mom and a teacher (she told Emma that you could do both of these jobs) and that she wanted to live at home. I think Emma was about Madeline's age when she kept checking in with me about whether it would be okay for her to live at home forever or not. Emma would tell me that if she didn't live at home she would draw me a map so that I wouldn't have any trouble finding her house. It must come with the stage of develpment. I always tell them that they can live at home forever if they really want to (I might actually let them if they really wanted to....)
I think it is funny, considering that Madeline enjoyed breastfeeding until she turned 3, that she has decided that she will have her babies and feed them bottles. She seems VERY concerned about breastfeeding her babies because of the potential for nipple biting. I remind her that babies don't have teeth at all for several months...she still seems hesitant. Hmmmm, we'll see what happens.
Emma is a super happy camper in her Canine 4-H club. What an awesome group of doggie lovin' cuties they are. The kids range from age 8 to 16. I can already tell that 4-H will help Emma become more confident, become more involved in community service, and meet a network of other kids who love their dogs as much as she does. I think it is really cool.
Tomorrow Emma, Madeline and 3 of Emma's friends will be trecking across the pass to celebrage Emma's 9th birthday. We are going to Club Libby Lu for the girls to get sparkly make-overs and put together a puppy package (pick a pup, a purse for the pup, a leash and a collar) and then we are going to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. My mom and cousin are joining us as well as some of our friends from Seattle. Although it would be hard for any birthday fun to top what I got when I was nine, my first horse, I think Emma will be happy. She has been counting the days.

I'm so glad you post so many pictures. I think it's halarious that Maddie worries about breat feeding :)
Have fun in Seattle, I tried to call this A.M., but it sounds like you have a busy day.
That is hilarious! Madeline says the funniest things. I hope you girls are having fun in Seattle. The work crew just left and I'm about to go under the house to finish up a few more pieces of ductwork.
xoxoxo
Oh how FUN!!! What a great way to celebrate Emma's birthday! I didn't realize that she and Miss Ella were born so close together. Ella will be 3 tomorrow.
I love the pics too! ;) You make up for those of us who are too (irrationally) nervous to post them.
Maybe I should be too nervous to post pictures but the main reason I blog is to have an easily accessible place to post pictures for my family and friends to see... Hmmmm... I am starting to get nervous. Have you heard any scary stories about it???
