Loving the Snow!
Blizzards bring me straight back to the warm, fuzzy, safe, school just got cancelled, sort of feelings from my childhood. The weather has been pretty fun around here the past couple of days and this evening was probably the most satisfying I've had in a while. The wind was gusting and the snow was falling. The house was cozy and warm and the Christmas tree lights were on. I went out to shovel all bundled up and pushing the snow off the walk felt a lot like playing.
Emma had a friend over and I called them outside, and Madeline too. They bundled up and came out all at once so that it was perfectly fair. The night was lit up from the snow. There was a bunch of untouched area for them to make angels in and pathways through. I even brought Jack out for the occasion (which was a mistake). The girls made a lot of noise, the good kind, and played until they were cold enough to come inside and have some hot chocolate. Ahhhh, so fun.

Snow is SO much fun, isn't it? I remember when I lived in Florida for two years ( a LONG time ago) I had to endure TWO WHOLE Christmases with NO snow, or even really cold weather.
We are so blessed that our kids get to play in this fun stuff! ....and us to. :)
Happy playing!
