Four Girls Fast Asleep

Tonight was a girl party at our house. Two of Emma's friends from her school came over to play and stay the night. My favorite part of the evening was sitting in Emma's room in the dark with Madeline asleep in my arms (because she so wanted to be part of what the big girls were doing that I said she could sleep in Emma's room with them) watching the three older girls, who were laying the wrong way on the bed, side by side, fall to sleep. They won't be able to do that much longer. The tallest one's feet were poking off the edge of the bed. Emma took a while to fall asleep but her two friends were out within minutes. Her friends are such good sleepers. Emma is always the last to go.

Tomorrow is a stay home day. Today was a project day. Everyone around me seems to be getting the flu so I snapped into get lots done mode just in case it hit me too. I wanted to be ready. I worked on laundry, cleaned the bathroom, sanded the butcher block in our kitchen (and it is looking SO much better) and cleaned out the upstairs unfinished bathroom, which had turned into a packed closet. It was amazing how large the bathroom felt with all of the unneeded stuff out of there. Now I need to figure out how to do the dump run. In the good old days my dad had a great little pickup just perfect for the job. Now the back of the blazer might have to be good enough.

I'm off to bed. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures before I head to Seattle on Saturday for a quick shift at Sorenson. Then onto to holidays!! :) I can't wait to spend the week in Idaho with my family.
